- About Killer…
-
- Killer is designed to delete the launch.next file, if it exists. Then
- Killer launches the application name designated in its STR 500
- resource.
-
- You configure Killer by using ResEdit to designate the first application
- in a Tabby-style event in Killer’s STR 500 resource, then tell RR Host
- or whatever is initiating the event to begin with Killer. You should
- also set two other string values: STR 501 configures for Multifinder (Y
- or N) and STR 502 holds the name of the file to be deleted -- normally
- launch.next.
-
- Why would anyone want such a utility? Its use guarantees that you will
- always run a full event, since there will never be a left-over
- launch.next file fragement from a crash or any other sort of phenomenon.
-
- Killer is free.
